I never understand why people are into astrological signs. I just don't get it. Haha. Also, talking to my pets help me calm my mind and keep my anxiety at bay. They're the best stress reliever.
First of all, pls show pets 🥺 I feel like astrology, just like any system of belief, can be fascinating to many because of its intricacies that correspond to a person's life or practices. Add to that, we have the zodiac signs as well! Haha. It's fun to take a look at, but you're right. Not everybody is obliged to subscribe to them. Thanks for reading, Alyssa!
Ultimately, I believe in God who is also the maker of all the planets and the stars. I have to agree that if we don't ask, we will not know, so from my part I also do those Google searching like "astrology and Christianity" "astrology and the Bible" "what the Bible says about astrology/zodiac/feng shui". I'm a Scorpio and interestingly enough, the things I read are also spot on! But one thing I've come to terms that whatever rabbit or scorpio zodiac traits I can relate to, these are not really my identity. Nakakatuwa din kasi reading on astrology, and the alignment etc etc! Growing up though, my parents have always told me to put my trust in God above horoscopes and feng shui! Ado ngamin ti nag-influence kada tayo!
Maganda yung mga sinuggest mo on topics! It's so fun knowing more or kinda deep-diving on the women of the Bible lalo na yung mga "unnamed" ones on how they were still "mentioned" e.g. the Samaritan woman, bleeding woman etc. Tapos siyempre sila Ruth, Esther, etc.!
I'm finally moving on with Stieg Larsson's The Girl Who Played with Fire", sequel of the ...with the Dragon Tattoo, but I need to reset reading cos I started reading it almost a decade ago na yata haha and unexpectedly got me more hooked this time around. Pero ang bagal ko pa rin magbasa gaaaah turning two weeks na! Haven't really committed to one hour reading time the past week.
AND YAAAAAS SMOOTH LIKE BUTTER!!!
I admire what you do, KB! And whatever that -creative work/project- you're working praying with you that it will thrive!!! Get it, let it roll!!
Wen ngarud, Merie! Everywhere we look, there's always something up~ Haha huhu! But I second your ult—God made and own all these things. So sometimes I would say, "Lord, I'm watching this but I also know what I believe in."
BUT, just as what your other ult, Namjoon, recently said, "people change. You can change." So it is important to keep studying, understanding, and growing in the faith or beliefs we subscribe to. Hence, the Sunday School sessions! Btw, I often see you share your faith journal on your IG Stories, and of course, you write about them in your newsletter too (I miss!), and just wanted to say I've always enjoyed those.
Good for you for moving along with your current read! I also picked that up in college (wah, tagal na!) but I don't think I ever finished it. Will be reading it vicariously through you~
Thank you so much for your support, and for taking the time to reflect and reply—I love these interactions! 💜
